Using BalanceSheet
These terms apply to your use of BalanceSheet's website, recordkeeping app, CLI, and MCP connection service. By creating an account, you agree to these terms. If you use BalanceSheet for a company or another person, you must have authority to act on their behalf.
What the service does
BalanceSheet lets you enter income and expense records, organize them into personal or company workspaces, attach documents, and view totals by currency. Company workspaces support sharing through owner, editor, and viewer roles.
BalanceSheet does not generate or issue invoices, connect to bank feeds, process payments, calculate taxes, or provide double-entry accounting. An attached invoice is a document you supply, not an invoice issued by BalanceSheet. Payment-method labels and optional last four card digits describe your records; they do not initiate payments. Totals do not convert between currencies.
The service does not provide accounting, tax, investment, or other professional advice. You are responsible for checking your entries and totals and for meeting your own reporting and recordkeeping obligations.
Your account and content
Use an email address you control, protect your password and connection tokens, and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for the content you enter or upload and for having permission to store and share it. Do not upload unlawful content, misuse another person's information, attempt unauthorized access, or disrupt the service.
You retain ownership of your content. You authorize us and our service providers to process it to operate BalanceSheet as described in the Privacy Policy. Keep your own copies of records and original documents you need.
Workspaces and connected clients
People with access to a company workspace can see its records and documents. Owners manage membership; owners and editors can change records. Check access before inviting someone or adding information to a shared workspace.
When you authorize a CLI or AI/MCP client, it can read data accessible to your account. If you grant write access, it can also make changes allowed by your workspace role, including removing records and sending invitations. Review the requested permissions and the client's own terms and privacy practices. Ending a connection does not erase copies already obtained by that client.
Removal and retention
Removing a record hides it and its attachments from the app; removing an attachment hides that attachment. These actions do not permanently erase the stored records or files. Categories and payment methods can be archived. There is currently no automatic purge schedule or self-service account deletion. Send questions or requests about your account and data to mohit@blupp.co.
Availability and changes
The service may experience errors or interruptions, and its features may change. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free results, or recovery of every record or file. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or obligations that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.
Changes to these terms will be published on this page with an updated date. For questions about these terms, contact mohit@blupp.co.
